If I could gift you…
For my beloved mama llama
If I could gift you the heart of a lion,
The blaze of a comet,
The seed of the source…
You would feel the eternal embrace
Of your own precious (un)knowing:
Your infinite force.
If I could gift you the soul of the ocean,
The stillness in motion,
The ripple of grace…
You would know your limitless volume,
Your turbulent currents,
Your deep, unmasked face.
If I could gift you the river’s surrender,
The rhythm of silence,
The pulsating essence…
You would melt as gold sunlit honey,
The trickle would become
A cascade of presence.
If I could gift you an intimate romance,
Another deserved chance
To be swept off your feet…
Then hands would caress you,
And tenderly bless you,
And eyes would reflect echoes of your heartbeat.
If I could gift you the relief of redemption,
And then, not to mention
Your own mother’s healed love…
You would exhale your orienting story;
Find peace, selfless glory
As below, so above.
If I could gift you your worth beyond reason,
Ripening with each season,
Caramelized by the sun…
Then you could relax,
Allow what’s fleeting to pass,
Knowing the truth of your soul will endure.
If I could gift you the mercy of deep faith,
To free-fall in deep space,
Unshakable ground…
You could be the wind under your own wings,
The bird’s sacred song she sings:
Intangible sound.
If I could offer you sacral enthronement,
Crowning re-birthed atonement
Of your nonexistent sin…
Then you might befriend death
A bit more with each out breath,
Find the safety you so long for,
deeply within.

Such an essential aspiration; lovely.
